It's that time of year again!  We need to nominate our 2015-16 school year board members!

Our next meeting is on March 10th at 2:45 in room 18!

Valentine Grams

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had many members volunteer their time to sell before and after school for an entire week and sold 703 grams!

Then we had members willing to make, bag, staple, and deliver the grams to the recipients!  We are spreading the LOVE at Lake Canyon!

The PTA just enjoys seeing how much our students, parents, and teachers care about each other!

This was such a success that we will be back at it in March to sell Lucky to Know You Grams appropriately titled LUCKY Grams!

We can't wait for the next round!

Meeting was called to order 2:55

Members in Attendance- Val, Stefani, Tammy, Kristen, Brandy, Fred, Michael, Carrie, Casey, Marlene, Julie, Heidi, Judi,

Secretary’s Report (C. Wilson)- Heidi motioned to approve Tammy seconded all approved

Treasurer’s Report – (A. Crawford) No new report

Bird Festival Movie Night- Not worth our time to participate next year

Family Dance Night- Friday, March 13^th from 6:30pm-8pm - Root beer garden, cookies and water for sale. 6^th graders would help with decorations.  Cookies, cups, and spoons donated by Casey.  Pink, Teal, and Black colors for the dance. Judi will volunteer to man the photo booth, Julie will get items we need to purchase, Asking for $350 for decorations, Tammy motions to approve money Brandi seconded all approved

Color Me Run- June 5^th Asking for $400 Sunglasses- members brainstormed ideas to purchase the sunglasses without a donation from the PTA.   Judi said school funds could purchase the sunglasses we did not approve any money for the event

February Valentine’s Gram- 694 grams sold- Cupid Crunch is made with popcorn, checks mix, white chocolate drizzle, cake-decorating sprinkles, and mini marshmallows.  Julie is getting the popcorn from a store in Elk Grove.  Tammy is opening her house to make the Cupid Crunch tomorrow. Thursday Culinary Cougars will assemble in room 17 and deliver on Friday

Lucky Grams- Will be sold March 9^th-11^th before and after school for 50 cents depending on Valentine Grams. Delivering to classrooms on the 17^th

March Leprechaun Contest- $1 for the leprechaun trap contest to be done Tuesday March 17^th Due on the 16^th to the library upon approval from Becca and Mr. Leprechaun will state the winner and give the prize at lunch on the 17^th

Other Business- Ask grade levels to donate certain items for events

Movie Night tentative date April 24^th popcorn and red vines and water since it will be an outside event that will require a late start to the movie
